legoramas

this is a collection of photographs i've taken of temporary dioramas depicting various situations using lego bricks with either my obama phone or digicam.

thumbnails are scaled-down versions of the original image.  to see the full-size original image, which will open in a new window, click its respective thumbnail.

these are some "legoramas" i've created.  not to be confused with lorenzo lamas, legorama being a combination of the words 'lego' and 'diorama'.  cute, i know.

minikit canister

ahsoka tano and anakin skywalker (and artoo-detoo) on tatooine.  ahsoka and anakin are holding up a minikit canister like those seen in the lego star wars video game series.

the tatooine landscape isn't lego but it is from the kenner (hasbro) star wars power of the force electronic power f/x r2-d2.

body in a barrel

is it just me, or do you too when looking at this photograph in your head sing to the tune of the smiths song "girlfriend in a coma", "body in a barrel, i know.  i know it's hilarious." so... just me i take it?

the barrel isn't lego but is from a both similar and compatible interlocking brick system, cobi.  it comes from cobi set 24111 (willys mb).  the body" is lego.  it comes from lego set 7626 (indiana jones: jungle cutter).  and mayhaps body is a bit of an overstatement as it's just the legs and left arm (and hat) of a soviet soldier.  i couldn't at all imagine a better method of disposal for such... could you? :-)

gimmie yo' purse, bitch!

i believe this is what they, in the legal business, call... a crime.  this bitch can't follow instructions, clearly.  talk about rude.  when some asks to see your purse, while at gun point, you let them.  but you denied this request, bitch, which is why yo' ass is on the ground! her instructor is about to dispense some discipline via suppressed pistol.

the suppressed pistol isn't lego but rather a brickarms silenced spy pistol .

you cat to be kitten me, samir.  tell us what you know right meow.  aren't lego just precious... even whilst waterboarding? who's the suit? cia? mi6? mossad? hmm... perhaps csis, eh? what in the world is in that bag? what's he got in that bag? well, he's clearly not ludacris so it's not a couple of cans of whoop ass... or is it?

just like in sports, these lego interrogators have a next man up philosophy.  no freedom (or soup) for you, next!

the handguns aren't lego but they are brickarms m1911 classics .

see, samir, waterboarding is too a sport... of sorts.  how's it taste, muthafucka?

ponepseitunedon versus sea monster

i know it's both blaringly and glaringly obvious but for those whom which it's not, ponepseitunedon is portmanteau of poseidon and neptune.  he's saving this poor little girl from otherwise assured "involuntary orifice violation" (rape).

the sea monster's tentacles are actually whiplash's energy whips from four mega bloks marvel series 2 microfigures.

a picnic complete with pizza and ice cold cans of... water?

this makes me think of the chorus from starting six's "thirsty" and the ending of the dr. dre's video for "(fuck wit) dre day".

beheading

from out of the bone scattered rocky ground sprout bones as fires burn and lava flows around a table to which a woman is restrained with chain.  she has lost her mind... and head.  an ominous, shadowy figure clad in black, wielding a labrys, has lopped it clean off.  konnichiwa, shinigami!

what do you think he's drinking, blood, water, wine... he is black, literally (just saying), sizzurp/pruple drank? my money is on blood... or peppermint tea.  we, err, those in the occult love peppermint tea... or so i've heard.  i also heard about a bridge being for sale... or was that a barge for sail? whichever.

this is what i see, and hopefully you too see, as an improvement upon my previous attempt .  perhaps my latest attempt is too busy in comparison, my latest attempt too graphic in comparison to my previous attempt?
