millennium falcon (video)

this is a collection of photographs i took of my building of lego set 10179 (star wars: ultimate collector's millennium falcon) using a digital camera, compiled into a 15 second video.

thank you, china, for this most awesome of all lego sets ever to have ever existed in the whole entire history of everdom! and to a lesser extent, thank you, george walker bush and to an even lesser extent, thank you, 110th united states congress.  they all helped make public law 110-185 , better known as the economic stimulus act of 2008, possible.  this law afforded me a tax rebate of $600 usd just prior to christmas of 2008.

this lego set, 10179 (star wars: ultimate collector's millennium falcon), had a msrp of $499.99 usd.  however, wal-mart, in true wal-mart fashion, was selling this lego set for $340.88 usd.  thus, i felt compelled to do my duty as a citizen patriot and used $368.49 usd ($27.61 usd in tax) of my $600 usd tax rebate to "help stimulate the economy".  the balance went to "feed the pig".  happy christmas 2008 to me!

this 5,198 piece lego set took me 13 days to build, december 20th, 2008 through december 31st, 2008 and january 2nd, 2009 through january 4th, 2009 (the break was to partake in new year's festivities).  this video is a compilation of the 95 photographs i shot to record my efforts.
